CLEAR THIS MESS.

CLEAR THIS MESS.
It was joy when our capital city was declared a Millennium City. Some negligible environmental activities are however, threatening the realization of this dream. These must be watched critically and acted upon. For some days now there is a mess that has been created by a building project at the Pig Farm-Dzorwulu bus stop near City Lights at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Accra that must be cleared as fast as possible.
The heaps of sand and stone that are being used for the building of a self contained private house were packed so recklessly that it blocked the drainage system in the area and diverting the flow of the bad water onto the street. There is only a narrow passage for vehicles and pedestrians causing traffic jam especially during rush hours. The drain is stagnant and might start breeding mosquitoes soon. This has been in existence for about three weeks now.
This is not an isolated case in Accra. It is high time the appropriate authorities act as fast as possible and clear the messes we find around us to make Accra a real Millennium City.
